Weatherization and Home Repair

These programs are designed to assist in achieving a healthful dwelling environment to include a safe, efficient heating system, and maximum practical energy conservation in dwellings of low income persons least able to afford higher energy costs or home repairs. The Harlan County Community Action Weatherization program receives funding from the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services and the United States Department of Energy. The primary function of the Harlan County Community Action Weatherization program is to provide basic energy saving methods to reduce home energy costs for low-income families (must be at or below 150% of the federal poverty limits).S
