About Home Repair (Weatherization) 

Harlan County Community Action Agency helps eligible residents apply for weatherization services through our partner agencies. The Weatherization Assistance Program is designed to reduce energy costs and improve home safety for low-income households.

How We Help

  • Assist with weatherization program applications

  • Provide eligibility screening and intake services

  • Connect residents with approved weatherization contractors

  • Follow up on application status and scheduling

Home Repair Services Available

  • Energy efficiency improvements

  • Insulation installation

  • Heating system repairs and upgrades

  • Air sealing and weatherstripping

  • Safety inspections and corrections

  • Indoor air quality improvements

Eligibility Requirements

  • Household income at or below 200% of Federal Poverty Guidelines

  • Must own or rent (with landlord permission) the home

  • Priority given to elderly, disabled, and families with young children

Choose Volunteer Initiative if:

  • You need small, immediate repairs
